There are many activities planned for this weekend.  You may want to pitch a tent and stay the night.

Soccer will be played during the day and lunch will be provided for the players. However, on Saturday night, we will have a cevap diner available (at reasonable prices) followed by children’s movie in the hall.  The movie is free of charge but the popcorn and pop will be sold at $1.00 each.

Note:  Dogs are not allowed on the Slovenian Summer Camp, except for cottage owners. Their dogs must be on a leash and at their cottage.

NOTE:  If your child’s name does not appear in the age group registered, try checking the next higher age group. There were many players and some players had to be moved.

THE  RULES

Players on the field

• The Squirt Division will play Six players at a time – 5 players plus a goalie.
• The Squirts will be divided into two age/skill categories and play against participants in their same age/skill bracket.
• The Intermediate Division will play Six players at a time – 5 players plus a goalie.
• The coach will rotate players as he / she wishes with the priority of providing equal playing time for all players.

Length of Game

• Each game will be 40 minutes in length ( two 20 minute halves with a five minute half time).
• The Referee will control the game clock.
• The Squirt Division will play Eight – 5 minute shifts per game
• On for 5 minutes / off for 5 minutes.

 Game Rules

• The referee’s call is final. The referees are volunteers … so please be patient with close calls.
• All soccer rules will be in effect with the following exceptions:  There will be no “ offside rule“.
• Depending on skill level, and  / or the need for additional players – a player may be moved up or down in age. The player must be approved by both opposing coaches.
• All games will be recorded as per the final score. Points will be awarded – 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie.
• In the event of a teams being tied after the preliminary games – total goal differential will be the selection criteria.
• In the event of a tie during a semi final and / or final game – a shoot out will occur:
• 6 shots per team – 3 older players and 3 younger players to be selected by the coach
• In the Squirt division each coach will select an older and younger goalie .
• In the case of a heavy rain and / or thunder– the game will be stopped due to potential injury.

Equipment

• Due to the hot and sunny weather please provide sufficient protection.
• Refreshments, hats, sun screen, etc

Note

• Players are expected to report to the playing field 15 minutes prior to game time, or the convener will replace them.
• There are no substitutions; the convener will replace players.
• There is no refund. The organizing Committee and the Slovenian Summer Camp are not liable for any injuries during the tournament.
